Across the Universe (Across the Universe #1) by Beth Revis

Book Blurb (from Goodreads):
A love out of time. A spaceship built of secrets and murder.

Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.

Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone - one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship - tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Now Amy must race to unlock Godspeed's hidden secrets. But out of her list of murder suspects, there's only one who matters: Elder, the future leader of the ship and the love she could never have seen coming.

My Review
I really enjoyed the book and think that the future would look as horrible and terrifying as it is in Across the Universe, I would be very scared and wouldn't be as brave as Amy was when she was frozen. I think that the romance between Elder and Amy was sweet and not too rushed even though there were a lot of problems, such as that Amy didn't trust Elder enough and didn't know his true motives.
I really liked Amy. In some ways I wanted to be same like her. She was brave and I admired her so much. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do what she had gone through.
Elder was an okay character but I just didn't like him that much. But after everything, I think that Harley was my favourite character because he was funny and was very nice and charismatic.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!
